Master Mariner with over 17 years of sailing experience and 23+ years of shore based experience as a senior marine surveyor and an independent maritime consultant. Capt Modi specialises in carrying out safety & navigation audits, marine warranty and P&I surveys. He is a non-exclusive class surveyor since 2000 associated with China Corp Register of Shipping, Taiwan and is also carrying out classification work for IBS, Panama since 2006. An expert Accident Investigator, approved by Panama Maritime Authority, and LISCR. Member of the Indian council of arbitration and also a member of the loss prevention association of India Ltd.

MOT Class II Part A, Mechanical Engineer

Having 11 years of experience as the Assistant Director for Govt. of India (Dock Safety Division) Kandla. Currently working has a senior surveyor and consultant, he is also a certified insurance surveyor and an approved flag state inspector for various countries.


Mr Shailiesh Modi
MOT Class I, Chief Marine Engineer

Marine Engineer with over 13 years of sailing experience out of which sailed as a chief engineer for 4 years on tankers with dangerous cargo endorsement. Currently working as a senior marine surveyor and consultant. Declared as 'Competent Person' by Govt. of India dock safety dept. for carrying out testing, examination and certification of all cargo gear & lifting appliances as per dock workers regulation 1990 & ILO convention no. 152


Mr Yash Modi
Naval Architect and Marine Engineer, MSc, BEng (Hons), AMRINA

Naval Architect and Marine Engineer with over 10 years of project management and ship building experience as well as experience of working as a structural engineer, warranty surveyor and hydrodynamic analyst with a leading offshore consultancy in London. He is a registered flag state inspector for Liberian Registry and an ISM auditor. He has worked on several offshore projects in the North Sea, Caspian and the Gulf. Yash specialises in ship designing, marine warranty and AIS data analysis. He has also been a part of the Royal Naval Reserves and the Chair for young members at the Royal Institution of Naval Architects, London Branch.


Mr Kushal Modi
Ship Science & Naval Architect, MEng

Having graduated from the University of Southampton in the UK with a Masters in Ship Science & Naval Architecture in 2013. He has previously worked with DNVGL classification society as an offshore structural engineer in their London Approval Centre primarily working on offshore oil & gas platforms for the North Sea. He has also worked in DNVGL's Southampton survey station as a ships in operation surveyor & GL Noble Denton as a Marine Warranty surveyor.


Mr Rinkesh Motiani
Safety Engineer, B.E.

He is declared as a Cargo Gear Competent Person from DGFASLI, Govt. of India since 2011 and a licensed service engineer for Life Saving Appliances like Lifeboats, Liferafts. Certified with Level II for carrying out NDT inspections


Mr K. S. Sudhakaran
Class I MEO, Chief Marine Engineer

Having 22 years of sailing experience as a Marine Engineer, he is an Indian Dock Safety approved competent person for testing and inspection of ship's cranes and other lifting appliances. He is also an authorised flag state surveyor for various flags. He has extensive experience in survey of ship's life saving appliances and all deck and engine room machinery.


Mr Mercelin J
Marine Mechanical Engineer

Expert in mechanical technology from Singapore, has extensive knowledge in the field of welding inspection and NDT testing for various types of machining processes. He is qualified upto ASNT Level II for Non Destructive Testing as per SNT-TC-1A. Experienced in CNC machine programming and operation, working with UK Marine as a full time engineering consultant.
